Historic Walking Tour

When East Texas Normal College moved to its current location in Commerce in 1895, the campus consisted of two city blocks and a single academic building. Today, the campus core includes over 130 acres and almost 60 buildings used for academics, athletics, recreation, and housing. Campus is home to many new, state of the art buildings with more on the horizon. This walking tour highlights some of the most noteworthy buildings on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus, locations of former significant buildings, and our original location in Commerce on the downtown square. We hope this tour provides you with the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful campus and learn more about some of the interesting events that have contributed to building our university. Use the interactive map below, or visit campus, to guide yourself on a journey through our history.
